Dana Shayegan is a music, media, and technology executive specializing in digital marketing, advertising, and content monetization within the music industry. Shayegan works with artists, record labels, and music companies to implement strategies for increasing brand awareness, audience size, and revenue. Since relocating to the Caribbean from California in 2016, Shayegan has specialized in niche genres of music, working with independent artists and labels across genres, with a specific focus on African, Caribbean, and Latin music.
Shayegan previously founded the Influencer Marketing division at the data-driven music advertising firm Wavo, where he worked with major record labels like Warner Records, Sony, and Interscope to execute digital advertising and influencer marketing campaigns for priority acts.
As Vice President of Music at the leading digital studio, Studio71 (formerly Collective Digital Studio), Shayegan built and operated one of the largest networks of independent music channels on YouTube, averaging 1 Billion streams per month across a wide variety of genres, including Electronic Dance Music (EDM), Hip Hop, Pop, Caribbean, African, and World Music.
From 2016 to 2022, Shayegan was a music editor in Digital Programming for iHeartRadio.
Billboard Magazine recognized Shayegan as one of its “30 Under 30” music executives, and he has appeared as a speaker at conferences, including South By South West (SXSW), Midem, Music Business Association (MusicBiz), and Digital Hollywood.
